Oak Frame Extensions

A Natural Way to Extend Your Home

An oak framed extension should feel like more than additional space. It should change how your home feels, how it connects to the garden and how you live in it every day.

We design oak framed extensions around the existing home, the surrounding landscape and the way you want to use the space.

How We Can Work With You

Design

We can start with your design or create a design for you. Whatever the project or the design constraints, we will always work with you in the way that suits you best.

Full turn key service

Our full turn key service includes your project design, liaising with planning, building and project management of all trades and being your point of contact throughout the process.

Frame and glaze

The frame and glaze option for our oak framed extensions is ideal if you already have a builder in mind. We can provide the oak frame and glazing for your builder or work with them to install the frame and leave the rest up to you.

Why choose an Oak Frame Extension?

Natural Light

Large areas of glazing can flood the space with daylight and create a stronger connection to the garden.

Character

A well-designed oak frame gives the extension a sense of permanence and identity.

Connection to Nature

Natural materials, views to the garden and carefully placed glazing help the space feel calmer and more connected.

Flexibility

Oak can work with traditional cottages, suburban homes and more contemporary properties.

Built to Last

Oak ages beautifully and gives the structure a quality that improves with time.

Fixed Cost Clarity

Once the design and specification are confirmed, we provide a fixed price with no hidden extras.

How Much Does an Oak Frame Extension Cost?

The cost of an oak framed extension depends on the size, specification, location and how much of the project you would like us to manage.

After an initial conversation, we can provide a guide budget figure so you understand what is realistic before committing to detailed design. Once the design is confirmed, we provide a fixed price based on detailed drawings and a full specification of works.

For more information about cost check out our FAQ or get in touch.

What happens next?

Get in touch with us and we’ll start getting to know you, your aims and your budget before arranging your free consultation.

We provide a free design visit to get a detailed idea of your requirements before we start work on your design.

Using the information and ideas we’ve shared during the first meeting and our conversations, we produce a design and guide budget for your approval.

Once you’ve given your feedback and we’ve fine tuned the designs, we submit them for planning.

Detailed drawings are produced (by us or your own architect if you prefer) and a fixed price quotation is provided. No hidden extras.

We offer a ‘turn key’ service, dealing with every aspect of the build from initial design to completion of the build in the South East of England. Elsewhere in the UK we are able to provide oak frame and glazing working with your chosen builder – an ideal option for self builds.
