240sqm Oak Framed Extension in Surrey

Project type

Special notes

This project created a stunning 240 sqm oak framed extension for a 16th century cottage in Surrey.  The scheme was designed by a renowned local architect firm, doubling the living space and harmonising perfectly with the existing, very beautiful, old property.

The client had already engaged their architect to design this fantastic new living space for them.  The architects then got in touch with Nadar Oak to design, deliver and install the oak frame, which forms the principle structure of the new building. An impressive 31 tonnes of oak were used.

The additional living space was added to create a new kitchen, dining room, master bedroom with en suite, covered walkway and double garage with accommodation over.

As part of our commitment to sustainability, for every cubic metre of oak used, we donate to causes that will have a positive impact on the planet.  By empowering the team to choose how and where funds are directed, we ensure they are causes close to our heart.

As for all our projects, we didn’t just supply this client with a build oak building, it was designed to induce a connection to nature. They told us that the natural materials used, the outlook to the grounds outside and the large amounts of light flooding through the windows, stirs their emotions and provides them will and ongoing sense of well-being.

They knew they were going to love living here before they moved in, they love what we designed and built for them and that gives us the immense satisfaction of a job well done.
