Rebrand
Living Oak, who design and build oak framed buildings and extensions, has announced that it has completed a major rebranding and will now be known as nàdar oak. We put nature at the forefront of our business: through the use of oak, a beautiful natural material; through fostering the connection between people and nature; and through sustainability. With this in mind we are using nàdar, the Gaelic word for nature, as our new name. This is the new nàdar oak website at www.nadaroak.co.uk. We will continue to provide oak framed homes designed in conjunction with the owners to create a space which is inviting and encourages a connection with the nature that surrounds it. “Being a purpose-led business has always been key to me,” said Stuart MacArthur. “Our new identity reflects the importance of nature, connection, wellbeing and craftsmanship to all of us at nàdar oak.”from the first time you enter.
Oak framed buildings to enhance your way of living
At nàdar oak we create outstanding living spaces that stir the emotions from the first time you enter. By combining oak frame and traditional building techniques our homes balance dramatic space with comfortable living, providing you with a connection to nature and a tangible sense of wellbeing.
We create spaces which invite you in and encourage you to explore, as much as you would when you are walking in the woods…
At nàdar oak we strongly believe that buildings shape the way people interact with each other and we want you to benefit from our ethos.
It will be your space, so we will work with you to achieve your goal.

Buildings for the future
Given the speed of change that is happening to our beautiful planet and how this is rapidly affecting the long term well-being of the earth, we believe we have a duty of care to show respect for Mother Nature and do what we can, as individuals or as a species.
We work with timber suppliers who have reforestation agreements in place, meaning that more trees are planted than felled. New trees produce more oxygen than old trees and also absorb more carbon dioxide.
Wood has the lowest energy consumption and the lowest carbon dioxide emission of any commonly used building material. It is an organic and naturally renewable material.
Process
Get in touch with us and we’ll start getting to know you, your aims and your budget before arranging your free consultation.
We provide a free design visit to get a detailed idea of your requirements before we start work on your design.
Using the information and ideas we’ve shared during the first meeting and our conversations, we produce a design and guide budget for your approval.
Once you’ve given your feedback and we’ve fine tuned the designs, we submit them for planning.
Detailed drawings are produced (by us or your own architect if you prefer) and a fixed price quotation is provided. No hidden extras.
We offer a ‘turn key’ service, dealing with every aspect of the build from initial design to completion of the build in the South East of England. Elsewhere in the UK we are able to provide oak frame and glazing working with your chosen builder – an ideal option for self builds.
